Seminole man dies in traffic accident in Montgomery
MONTGOMERY, Alabama -- A two-vehicle accident on Young Meadows Lane at Vaughn Road killed one man and injured five others about 9:06 a.m. on Sunday, May 1, Montgomery police say.
Donald Topp, 74, of Seminole, Ala., a passenger in a 2008 Honda Accord, was killed in a collision with a 1996 Dodge 2500 van, according to a police press release.
Topp was a passenger in the Accord driven by Sammie Kennedy, 72. Kennedy and two other passengers received injuries but were treated at Baptist Medical Center South.
The van was driven by Alan Brickett, 79, of Montgomery. He and a passenger were treated at Baptist Medical Center South for minor injuries.
The death is the fourth traffic fatality in 2011 in Montgomery, according to Lt. Mark Drinkard.
