File the Complaint For Divorce with the county clerks office. This document will require vital information regarding your spouse and the reason or grounds for the divorce.
Grounds for divorce can include both fault and no-fault reasons. No-fault simply means that the marriage is broken and you have irreconcilable differences.

Pay the filing fee. Without the filing fee, the county clerk can not record your case and bring it forward to the judge.

Complete the Marital Settlement Agreement with your spouse. Having all of your asset and debt divisions agreed upon prior to the judgment of the case will allow for a far more painless divorce process as the court will not have to intervene and work to split your property.

Complete a parenting plan with your spouse. If there are children involved, it is always better for the parents to come to a mutual agreement regarding visitation for their children. If it is not possible for the parents to agree on a fair parenting plan, the court will be forced to get involved and determine what is in the best interest for the child. This is not only expensive and time consuming, but takes the decision making process away from the parents.

Wait 30 days from the filing for the court to provide a Judgement For Divorce. once this has been delivered, the divorce is considered to be dissolved.
